This heavy-duty machine is designed with separate elements for the heavy steel griddle plate and the toasting compartments, ensuring optimal and consistent results across both functions.

Operation and Controls

Operating the GT700 is straightforward and efficient. The unit is turned on by rotating the Power switch to the right. The Thermostat controls the temperature of the cooking plate, cycling on and off to maintain the preset temperature. The Energy Regulator controls the toasting element, achieving most efficient toasting when set to maximum.

Each side and each function can be used simultaneously or individually as needed, and different temperature settings can be set for each side. Furthermore, the GT700 features separate elements and controls for Left hand Side and Right hand Side operation.

Safety and Cleaning

The GT700 prioritises safety and easy maintenance. It features a large, forward-positioned grease box that is easy to remove and clean. General safety precautions include not removing any cover panels on the machine, ensuring the power cable is not in contact with hot parts of the machine, and not cleaning the unit with a Spray Applicator or Water Jet.

For cleaning, only hot soapy water and a soft cloth should be used on the plates, ensuring the machine is OFF but the plates are still warm.

Troubleshooting

Should the Griddle not heat up, several checkpoints are recommended before calling for service, such as ensuring the unit is correctly plugged in and the power switched on, checking for a faulty power point, and verifying the correct operation of the power supply circuit breaker or fuse.
