This fryer boasts innovative head units that house the primary controls, elements, and pilot lights. These units can be tilted up to 45 degrees, allowing oil to drain back into the pan, or even locked upright for easy pan removal. It also features the FR Series Fryers' Smart Lock system, ensuring safe and effortless operation. The system restricts the tilting of the head while the unit is powered on and prevents the unit from being powered on while in a tilted position.
The FryPod Fryer provides a consistently excellent cooking experience. Once your desired cooking temperature is set, between 170° and 180°C, the thermostat will cycle on and off to maintain the perfect heat level for your food. How often should I change or filter the oil? For constant use, it is recommended to filter the cooking oil daily. Old or dirty oil has a lower flash point and is prone to surge boiling.
Can I use any type of oil for frying? While most oils can be used, avoid using extra virgin olive oil as it has a considerably lower flash point and should not be used for high-temperature frying.
What should I do if my fryer does not function? Check if the power is on, if the power points are working, and if the temperature has been set correctly. If the fryer still doesn't function, contact customer service.
How should I clean the FryPod Fryer? Ensure the power is off and the fryer is cool before cleaning. Wipe the fryer with warm soapy water using a damp sponge or cloth. Do not immerse the control boxes in water.
What is the capacity of the fryer basket? The FR Series fryer baskets can carry approximately 1kg (1000g) of chips when filled to the rim. However, it is recommended not to cook at full capacity to avoid oil surge, temperature drop, and oil degradation. For model FR28, it is suggested to fill the basket with about 750g (approximately ¾ full) for optimal frying.
How should I handle solid cooking oil? If using "solid" type cooking oil, it must be melted very slowly by turning the thermostat on to the lowest setting for about 10 to 15 seconds, then off for a similar period. Repeat this process until the level of liquid oil reaches the minimum oil level mark to prevent the possibility of the oil igniting.
