Designed and crafted by Roband® Australia, a 100% Australian owned company, the boiling plate exemplifies over 50 years of excellence in creating commercial catering equipment. Noted for its high-grade construction, this robust cooking device is distributed worldwide and has gained a reputation for its reliability, durability, and high performance.

Exceptional Functionality and User-Friendly Operation

This boiling hot plate offers unparalleled operational ease. Designed to harden the protective coating, the heat switch should be set to the highest setting for 3-5 minutes before initial use. For optimal cooking, the utensil used should have a solid and even bottom. Note that pans with convex bottoms are not suitable for use with this boiling hot plate. Additionally, the diameter of the cooking utensil should align with the diameter of the hotplate, and should not exceed it by more than 30mm.

To guide you in setting the heat switch for various cooking applications, refer to the following:

  • 0: Off
  • Between 0 - 1: Ideal for simmering delicate foods and thickening sauces
  • 1: Perfect setting for the main stages of slow cooking
  • Between 1 - 2: Safe power for simmering large quantities
  • 2: Ideal for frying meats and pan-dishes
  • Between 2 - 3: Brings all dishes to cooking and steaming
  • 3: Rapid making of tea or coffee

Safety and Maintenance

Safety is paramount with the Roband Boiling Plate - Single 190mm Model 11. The unit gets hot during use, so ensure to avoid contact with hot surfaces. The power cable should not come into contact with hot parts of the machine. Moreover, it is recommended that all servicing be performed by a qualified professional, as this machine contains no user-serviceable parts.

Regular cleaning and maintenance will enhance the longevity of your boiling hot plate. The appliance should be cleaned with a damp cloth. When the hotplate is very dirty, clean it with a domestic cleaning powder, then switch it on momentarily to dry it. To maintain the matte finish of the hotplate, use a hotplate cleaner or apply a trace of oil. Remember to never pour cold water on the warm or hot plates to prevent sudden temperature changes that may cause the plate to buckle.

Troubleshooting

If the boiling hot plate does not heat up, ensure that the unit is correctly plugged in, the power point is functioning, the heat switch has been set to the appropriate setting, and that the heat switch is not loose or broken. Call for service only after checking all these points.
